OYEDEPO, ENENCHE, KUKAH ETC, ADEBOYE HAS SET AN EXAMPLE

I commend you pastor E. A Adeboye for your prayer walk against Insecurity in Nigeria. Even though some times I frown at pastors meddling into politics, but it's your right and that of your members to demand for good governance and end to killings.

I commend you for the way you conducted yourself and your members peacefully through out the walk and the way you kept political undertone out of it with the placards and signboards you displayed.

Unlike some pastors and self acclaimed men of God that would have made political gain out of it. With political messages, utterances that can further escalate the volatile nature of the security situation of our nation. Kukah, Enenche, Oyedepo, and other political pastors hope you can see how to pass a message without hitting the polity. I could remereme when Oyedepo read out a letter allegedly sent to him by Fulani herdsmen of how they want to take over West Africa and Nigeria, as well as other messages that look like he belong to a political party in Nigeria. Change your ways before it's too late because the Bible doesn't susuppo pastors behaving like politicians.

Sir. I believe God has answered your prayers, and the rightful authorities have seen your message. God bless you, your family and your congregation.

HOPE WHO YOU ARE DATING IS ALSO DATING YOU?

The worst thing about being in a relationship, is when the relationship not being reciprocated, or the relationship being one sided without you knowing. Sometimes too the signs are usually there but you decide to ignore them. Many are in a relationship where they are the only one loving themselves without knowing. Any relationship of this nature, leaves either of the people in tears in no sooner than later time, wasted years, emotions etc.

A lady was in a relationship with a guy who was in another state of the country. They had met in a wedding of one her friends, got talking and began to date. They were really in love according to the lady. They go out to different places, have fun and enjoy themselves to the fullest. Based on the fact that both of them stay in different parts of the country, coupled with work and school, they usually see monthly, holidays or festive periods. This did not create any hindrance to their relationship.
The relationship went on for 3 years and the lady was expectant of engagement and marriage. The relationship survived on mostly the guy's financial muscles which made the lady fall madly inlove with the guy. The lady was still a student in the University so the guy took care of her bills from house rent, food, clothing and even extended to her friends and family.

Then on that faithful day, her birthday. It's 8 am already and no call or text from him. She waited more time expecting some kind of surprise from him. At exactly 12 noon, she called, "Sweetheart, it's my birthday and you have not even called nor texted what happened"? He replied. Sorry babe I left for work as early as 5am and have been busy since then. I just managed to pick your call now." Hmmm" she sighed. "anyway, what's up, how is day going to look like"? You have refused to say anything about it since". "Babe I have a lot to do here I won't be back till midnight and it would be difficult to be with you today. I'm sorry but not to worry, I will transfer you some money, just take yourself out, enjoy yourself with friends we will see by month end. Grudgingly, she hung up. In the evening, she became more lonely and bored that she couldn't bear it anymore that she borded the next vehicle to go see him, since she know where the guy keeps the keys to his house. She had wanted it to be a surprise to him when he eventually returns from work later in the midnight, so she didn't inform the guy of her coming. On her way, she bought things, got to the house, prepared a delicious soup, ate, watched movies till she slept off.

Later that night, around 2 am the supposed boyfriend came back home with a girl. They went straight to the bedroom, made out there and slept off. An hour 30 minutes later, the girlfriend who has been wondering why the guy is still not back up till that time decided to go have proper sleep in the bedroom. She switched on the light and was totally shocked when she saw her supposed boyfriend lying naked next to another woman. "Jesus!! she shouted. The noise woke them up. The guy started shouting at her. Why did you come without telling me? Did I ask you to come? The other lady just grabbed a wrapper, covered herself and went back to sleep. It was then that it dawned on her that she was just a side chick.
But the signs were there. The guy rarely call her, unless he wants to spend time with her, giving such excuses like "I don't like too much calls. They rarely go out together, unless bars and clubs. But since he sends her money anytime she ask and take care of her needs and bills, to her and many Nigerian women, they man so much love them.

There is the case of a guy who organized a birthday party for his supposed girlfriend, everything down to spices used to prepare the food was provided by the said rich guy. During the birthday celebration, The MC asked the celebrant to call on stage her boyfriend. She called out a different guy entirely. The number of bottles that broke that night and subsequent fights that ensued afterwards, is something I wouldn't want to discuss here. But the bottom line is, the guy was actually dating himself.

Then, the one of a radio programme where a caller will ask the radio presenters to call their lovers and give them gifts. The presenters will call the said lovers and inform them of their gift but they will have to say the name of their lover. In this particular case, the girl named Cynthia had asked the presenters to give her lover a gift. They put a call to the boyfriend, asked him to name the particular girlfriend. Surprisingly, the guy guessed 5 names without mentioning Cynthia. I could imagine how she must have felt that day, because the presenters used her as a point of discussion for the rest of the programme.
Life is full of shits and complications friends, so be sure who you are dating is also dating you. Everyone should endeavour to know who they are dating, test the relationship, be sure you are also loved the way u love your partner. Be very sure my brothers and sisters.

BEYOND THE INDECENT PROPOSAL, A GREAT HOPE

BEYOND  THE  INDECENT  PROPOSAL, A GREAT HOPE

The post by Francis Van Lare, proposing a holiday with any married woman that her marriage is 10 years and below as well as cash price to the husband of the lady that would be chosen for it. The proposal was greeted with backlash from Nigerians who felfe married women that  accepted the proposal and was posting their pictures, had no respect for themselves, husband and families.

But as I was going through the comment, I saw a comment from a young girl that touched me greatly. The young lady was single and used the opportunity to pray and wish her future hubby well, that she will not trade him for any ransome.

This kind of ladies should be treasured. At a time of moral decadence as now witness, this lady deserve awards. A society where people care about their marital future, many men should been asking her hand in marriage, she should have been recognized by religious organizations, and other establishments in pursuit of morals and lasting relationship as a symbol to promote healthy marriage, moral and a better society.
I wish I have the financial muscle, I would have honored you Miss Ngozi Nwobu.   You have shown that even at a time when many ladies are becoming shameless due to money and material things, that there are still women who believes in the future and contentment in marriage. God will grant your heart desires.
As a show of respect, and the little I and some of my friends to use your picture on Facebook as our Display  Pix.
We respect you.

WHY CAN'T WE ACT WITH SANITY IN THIS COUNTRY?

Why can't we act with sanity in this country? Must we all behave like motor park touts? I get really pained when I see what is not suppose to still be happening in our growing democracy, happening at this time.

First one guy loses election. By virtue of that, you are an opposition. Few months after losing an election that you never came third or fourth, you started shouting "Revolution". What do you expect? Must you heat up the polity? Why not make your reservations about a government known through proper channels as a learned man and within ambient of peaceful agitation?
Now you are arrested (which was inevitable) because no where in the world that you will want to overthrow a democratically elected government and they fold their arms, watching you carry out the threat.

Now, you are arrested and detained. If we must be sincere, in our volatile democracy and political terrain, you are a threat to national peace and stability and detaining you for a while might be needed. (forget the noise by some people, only a very few will tolerate someone going against their government).

Courts ordered for his release. He wasn't released. An action that should not have been taken by the security agents, but you never can tell their reasons and it's implications for national security, that made them take such action. (If you are close to a government or have held leadership position, you will understand there are some cases that make governments behave the way they do).

Finally he was released. Then rerarrested 24 hours later.  I believe the security agents have their reasons, but must he be rerarrested with this speed? Why can't we do the right thing? Why can't we just go about our lives in peace? Why can't the politicians just play by the rules? Why can't the citizens stand up against erring politicians no matter their political divide? Why can't the people understand that they suffer most in all these?
Why? Why? Why?

SIX TIMES CLUBS OF SAME NATIONALITIES HAVE MET IN UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINALS

The UEFA champions league has always been played between two clubs of different nationalities until 1999-2000 edition when Real Madrid met Valencia in final. That final heralded different finals between clubs of same nationalities. Enlightennigeria.blogspot.com takes a look at champions League finals between clubs of same nationalities.

Finals between clubs of same nationalities have been recorded six times. Spain has the most of such finals just like highest number of Champions League trophies and highest number of trophies by a single team (Real Madrid). The other nations that has witnessed finals between clubs of their nationalities include Italy, Germany and England in that sequence. But these nations have only witnessed such once.

List of Champions League finals involving clubs of same nationalities:

1999 - 2000  Real Madrid vs Valencia
2002 - 2003  Milan vs Juventus
2007 - 2008  Manchester United vs Chelsea
2012 - 2013  Bayern Munich vs Dortmund
2013 - 2014  Real Madrid vs Athletico Madrid
2015 -  2016 Real Madrid vs Athletico Madrid

Whether this 2018/2019 season will produce finals of clubs of same nationalities is unknown, but there's such likelihood because two clubs of same nationalities (Liverpool and Tottenham) are in the semi finals and they are not facing each other.
We unanimously don't fancy an all English finals, but if it happens, we will enjoy the game.

Adeleke don't Celebrate yet, Dakuku, and Mama Taraba also won at the Tribunal

Adeleke Don't celebrate yet, Dakuku, and Mama Taraba also won at the tribunal

I was walking home from work when a friend called me with joyous tone that the tribunal has declared the pdp candidate for Osun Gubernatorial election winner. I asked what was the celebration all about he said he is now the governor na. I just called him "olodo and dropped the call.

Tribunal judgements since election cases gets to the Supreme Court has become mere academic exercise. After the 2015 governorship election, many candidates who lost the election went to court. Yours truly followed the cases of the then Rivers State Apc governorship candidate, Dr. Dakuku Adol Peterside and Taraba State governorship candidate of the Apc Mrs Aisha Alhassan, (Mama Taraba).

These candidates won at the tribunal and the court of appeal but lost at the apex court. So what's the celebration all about? Adeleke and the PDP should not celebrate yet until this matter gets to the Supreme Court.
https://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/12/breaking-appeal-court-sacks-gov-wike-orders-fresh-election-in-rivers/
http://dailypost.ng/2015/11/07/breaking-tribunal-nullifies-governor-ishakus-election-declares-mama-taraba-winner/

So I wonder the need for this half celebration that might be shortlived.
People should understand intrigues of legal battles before rushing to celebrate.
Let's keep our fingers crossed.

LADIES TAKE CHARGE OF YOUR RELATIONSHIP THIS YEAR

LADIES TAKE CHARGE OF YOUR RELATIONSHIP THIS YEAR.
Many women sometimes don't know what relationship entails. To many of them, relationship is just something that goes on. A man asks me out, I agree, we go out, I do visit him, we make love and thats it. This has led to lots of heartbreak, disappointment and depression. It's time ladies take charge of their relationship. Many times women have left a huge part of the success of relationship with men and this trend must discontinue if women want to get to the goal of their relationship.

It's time to up your game in whatever you do in your relationship. Support your man to become a better person. What business is he doing? What is your contributions to the success of it. His career, how are you helping him climb to the top of it? What challenges is he facing in life, what are his fears? What makes him happy? This questions everyday begs for answers by a man.  Don't assume he can go through it all alone. Help him. Offer the little you can for the success of his career, business, help him overcome his fears, make him happy and let him know he will land on a foam if he eventually falls instead of a rock.

Be part of his life don't sit and watch. Sometimes fuel his car if you have the means. Get him something nice no matter how small ladies you can reshape the kitchen of your man, Offer value to his life. Redefine his room, his life and maybe his self worth. Show him you want to be with him and ready to be the woman he has ever dreamed of. The times we are now, is longer time for only demanding, offering of your body and or seeing yourself as doing a man favour by dating them. Reduce the high level of buying clothes, shoes, bags, latest gadgets and channell some this things in preparation for your tomorrow.

Show more commitment this year my dear ladies. No more fakery, too much artificialities, selfishness and “Give me Give me way of life”. Take time out and work on yourselves.  Shun some irrelevant programmes, online celebrity attention seeking, read books on how to improve your relationship instead of watching programmes of the lives of fake people on TV and meaningless hash tags. It's time to face realities.

This past Xmas, a lady came to me complaining of how her boyfriend is showing him attitude because Xmas is approaching so he won't get her gifts. I said what do you plan on getting him this Xmas and what have you gotten him since this year? She said it's the man that's supposed get a woman something. This lady in question works and finds it hard to contribute to the life of her boyfriend but prefers to buy any latest clothes, shoes and bag. The young man has sat to analyze his life from the start of the year and realized that what the said girlfriend has contributed to his life can also be gotten from any girl and has taken his decision.

My dear ladies it's time to take charge of your relationship, pray and wish for the best. I wish you the best in your relationship and wish to attend your wedding.

COACHES THAT HAVE WON THE AWCON TITLE WITH THE SUPER FALCONS OF NIGERIA.

It's no longer news that the super Falcons of Nigeria has been crowned African women champions for the 9th time since the inception of the African women championship. But many times, successful teams are celebrated with little acknowledgement of the coach even when such coaches are quickly blamed when the team performs woefully.  Since their first conquest of the African continent in 1998, here are coaches that have won the AWC with the Nigerian team.

1998, Ismaila Mabo
Mabo won the Then African Women Championship with the Super Falcons of Nigeria in a tournament that was hosted in Nigeria in 1998. He guided them till their victory over the Black Queens of Ghana.

                                              Ismaila Mabo
2000, Ismaila Mabo.
Again Mabo was in charge in 2000 when Nigeria ruled Africa. The competition was held in South Africa and Nigeria won by 2:0 before trouble started. Fans threw stones and bottle water and other objects into the stadium after Nigeria's second goal. was never completed in the history of the competition as it was stopped with 28 minutes left to play. Mabo is the most successful Super Falcons coach as he guided Nigeria to two African titles and reaching the quarter finals of the World Cup in 1999.

                                               Ismaila Mabo
2002, Samuel Okpodu
In 2002, the former Bendel Insurance attacker was drafted to tinker the team. He won the AWC title that was hosted in Nigeria beatin
beating the Black Queens of Ghana 2:0 at the Warri Township Stadium. But Okpodu and his girls failed to put up a good showing at the 2003 Fifa Womens World Cup.

                                           Samuel Okpodu.

2004, Godwin Izilien
Coach Godwin Izilien led the team to their fourth AWC title in Johannesburg, South Africa. Izilien and his players fought and won the battle, beating the Lionesses of Cameroun 5-0 in the final with Perpetua Nkwocha accounting for four goals plus a late strike from pocket dynamite, Vera Okolo. Sad enough, it was later discovered that Izilien and his coaching staff were owed backlog of salaries.
                                  Godwin Izilien

2006, Ntiero Effiom
Effiom Ntiero of blessed memory led the the Super Falcons of Nigeria to their fifth straight AWC that was hosted in Nigeria. The Akwa Ibom gaffer saw Nigeria defeat Ghana 1:0 at the Warri Township Stadium to clinch the title. 25,000 people watched the match, which was described by the BBC as "a drab encounter". Both teams qualified for the 2007 FIFA Women's World Cup in China which he also guided them to. Ntiero died on November 11 2014,at the age of 59.

                Ntiero Effiom

2010, Eucharia Uche
After a not good performance at the 2008 edition of AWC, Eucheria Uche was appointed the coach of the Super Falcons and guided the team to victory in South Africa. Nigeria defeated Equatorial Guinea by 5:2  at the Sinaba Stadium, Daveyton. She was Nigeria's first female coach for the Super Falcons who won the AWC as a player and a coach. She qualified Nigeria to the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup, in which she made a remark that homosexuality a "dirty issue" and "spiritually wrong". A statement she was thoroughly cautioned of by Fifa.

                              Eucheria Uche
2014, Edwin Okon
Coach Edwin Okon who led the Falconets to the semi finals of the Fifa U20 World Cup was appointed coach of the Super Falcons after the sack of Eucheria and he guided the team to win the 2014 AWC in Namibia. Nigeria defeated Cameroun 2:0 at the Sam Nujoma Stadium, Windhoek, Namibia to lift the trophy. Okon later led the Super Falcons to the 2015 World Cup in Canada where they crashed out in the first round.

                                            Edwin Okon

2016, Florence Omagbemi
Florence Omagbemi a former Super Falcons international was drafted to tinker the team after the abysmal performance of the team at the 2015 Fifa Womens World Cup in China. Florence Omagbemi guided the team to their 8th African Women Cup of Nations (AWCON) as it was renamed by CAF. Nigeria again, defeated the Lionesses of Cameroun 0:1 in front of their crowd at the Stade Ahmadou Ahidjo, Yaoundé.

                             Florence Omagbemi

2018, Thomas Dennerby
After the Unceremonious dismissal of Florence Omagbemi and her coaching crew, The NFF appointed Swedish coach Thomas Dennerby to lead the Super Falcons. The Swede who has coached the Swedish national team and led them to a third place finish at the 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup. Dennerby recently guided the Super Falcons to their 9th AWCON title in Ghana where they edged South Africa 4:3 on penalties at the Accra Sports Stadium, Accra. Thomas Dennerby baring any issues, will lead the team to the 2019 Fifa Womens World Cup in France.

                                    Thomas Dennerby
We wish the Falcons good luck in 2019 Fifa Womens World Cup in France and we call for early and proper preparation to surpass the Quarter final they earned in 1999.
